"My degree honed my communication skills, aiding me as a manager across diverse roles in my career. It enabled me to advocate to ensure that projects I run are in other languages, making them accessible to more people, and allowing me to participate in Diversity Committees for Salt Lake County and the City of Las Vegas. Additionally, I currently collaborate with Latinx leaders and communities in Nevada on state policies, where speaking another language makes us better connect with those we are trying to serve. I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer as an interpreter for several nonprofits in UT and NV. The degree has played a huge role in my personal, professional and academic career."
